My question:

As you can see option A has more stops before it reaches Bansko leaving at 7:30
And option B has less stops but leaves at 8:30

Any ideas which one arrives faster? are the stops long at each village ?

Also looking for some recommendation for a good clean guest house in Sofia near the bus station (more or less)

Thank you in advance

re: Sofia to Bansko by Bus

got some connections in Sofia and we were supposed to stay at one girl's place but somehow she hasent replied to her mail for 2 weeks now. I'm assuming she is not in the country. I found a Hostel called Mostel Smile and this was recommended by Lonely planet. Our goal is not to waste time the next day and take the bus to Bansko. This is my I was asking which one arrives faster considering that one of my friends has no equipment and we will have to go and arrange a rental. The whole point is ...

So we'd take the 7:30 bus. Departure time is 1hr earlier but has more stops than the one at 8:30. If the stops all together are about 1 hour and eventually we arrive approximately the same time, we'd go for the 8:30 and enjoy a nice breakfast before that.

Anyone got arrival times of the above mentioned buses ?

P.s: I dont like paying for luxury when it comes to snowboarding trips.

Bus journey is around 4 hours normally for the 07.30 option, the stops are short apart from occasionally Blagoevgrad... The bus can be elderly and busy..
The other option, the 08.30 one is slightly quicker, and the express as it is called is normally a modern coach. It still can remain in Blagoevgrad for a while, but still seems to arrive in Bansko around midday...
No help with accommodation in Sofia other than a hostel which is down into Sofia across the Lion Bridge, about 1.5km from the ...

re: Sofia to Bansko by Bus

I think it is important to highlight that most Buses to Bansko dont leave from the Central Bus station in sofia but actually from.Bus Station Ovcha Kupel.
It can be confusing if you look at the Central bus station timetable and you think that the last bus to Bansko is at 14.00

http://bansko.org/bansko_bus_schedule gives times from Bus Station Ovcha Kupel as well with the last bus at 17.30. This allows much greater flexibility on the mid to late afternoon flight arrivals into sofia
