Larry's children are both under 2 though - I don't think much is catered for at that age is there? May be creches somewhere - ski kindergarten and skiing not an option - if it is then they may be potential Olympic skiiers! Anyone know of any creches for kiddies this age as expect other folk have little ones they may like to take?
Its everyone's holiday so its important you all have a good time. Which is why is awful if they don't like the creche/kindergarten. We always went on holiday with my brother in law and family so there were always a group of kids together - all going into the same establishement and that made it much easier for them and generally they remember those early ski holidays with great fondness.

We had one bad experience in Alpe D'huez and pulled the kids out of a horrendous French creche and then kept them with us for the rest of the week but they were all just about skiing by then anyhow. Once old enough to ski then we put them into ski school and got them up to speed quickly. The investment paid off and by the time they were 7 and 4 they were skiing happily with us for half the day after ski school in the morning. Aged 8 and 5 they skied with us all day (and that's dawn till dusk to get best value out of the lift pass in Tignes/Val Di'sere) and no longer held us up at all (and we don't hang about) and now aged 10 and 7 they were so depressed this year in Pamps as no blacks or reds open. Fortunately I have another one and the 4 yr old was being rapidly brought up to speed.
I'm very glad I put them all into ski school/ski creches from an early age as that feeling of all skiing together as a family is wonderful and so satisfying. The kids love skiing with us and would not want to be put into ski school now as they would feel they were missing out on something. I think of it as an investment in future holidays as a family which are now greatly enhanced as a result.
Rila Hotel (Borovets) creche/kindergarten takes children from 3 months, older children are brought out twice a day to learn to ski.
As it seemed to be me left 'holding the baby' I preferred having a front room at the Rila, so if they needed an afternoon nap, then at least I could sit on balcony watching the slopes and catching the sun. We did pay for a relative to come with us one year to child mind.
If you don't mind sharing the care then at least you will still be skiing - better ...

Thanks for your replies! I think we are going to hold off for a couple of years...I reckon I would fell completely guilty if I just left the kids in a creche while we went off away for the day!...We'll deffo be going to Bulgaria to start off though, Pamps is a top resort for families (and singles as well!), not quite so sure of Boro for families, I reckon we'll struggle to get them in the numerous 'dancing' clubs realistically! Although the 'Duck' was top for apres ski chilling - Brandy, ...
