Yes, just turn up with the right clothing and everything else is provided. With this cold snap we have been having it has been even colder that usual in the Snowdome of late so make sure you have got some clothing layers you can play with to keep yourself comfortable.

Very Happy

I assume Andy and Sam mean that you should skip the indoor lessons, NOT skip lessons completely!

Your first week will, no doubt, be one of your best!

Try Milton Keynes instead. Much nicer, good places to eat shops etc. 10-15mins further than Tamworth but easy straight down the M1. Vgood idea to get yourself used to the boots and skis so you have an idea of how things should fit at the ski hire shop on the first day. Have an excellent time.

re: Tamworth or in resort???

I found the hire kit on holiday far better than anything I've had at Tamworth. I've resorted to wearing two pairs of socks at the Snowdome... they must take parties of Yetis, or something.

If you're planning on learning to ski there, check out the cost of membership from the start. You get reduced rates, plus vouchers for free sessions. They even had a members' discount off Crystal holidays a while back. If you can be bothered with the maths, you can work out how many sessions you need ...

Also, members of the Ski Club GB get 50% off Snowdome membership. Something they dont make big news about. We found out too late Sad

Cant remember what incentives Snowdome give with membership exactly but it involves free recreational sessions, free bring a friend (for member rates) vouchers, free bar vouchers (bout £6 per member) and free kids ski club sessions. As a family of 5 we found the membership to be beneficial for us. Very Happy

re: Tamworth or in resort???

Have some lessons and get the basics before you go. We had some lessons at Castleford before our first trip to Pamps and were glad we had because it meant that we went straight into a low intermediate group and had progressed to blues by the end of day 2.
It just gives you a bit of extra confidence - that was important for me as I'm quite nervous and wasn't even sure I'd be able to ski at all!

Totally agree with PP, You will have the best time With or without prior lessons Exclamation The only thing is Private lessons are so expensive in Tamwoth and so cheap in Boro, If the lessons out there arent going fast enough for you then get some private lessons.

Td learnt in England and we have tagged along with lessons in Boro and had the time of our lives Exclamation Lessons in Boro arent like any lessons you have ever had, they are just fun Exclamation Go for it as it will never be as good ever again Exclamation Wink Razz ...
