Down in Bansko for the weekend. 3 leva a bottle of water, 5 leva a coffee, 7 leva rum, average lunch (soup, meat something and chips) 25 leva. I guess Borovets is the same but the quality/service/facilities suck heinously.
Could be far worse......you could be spending Euros rather then Leva. Reuters predict the Euro will continue to decline over the next month or so. If it doesn't pick up by mid the end of the season the prospect of skiing the more established mainline European resorts will be less appealing than BG seems to some people at present. The negatives will be that Euro currency countries won't get the bookings, custom will shift to the Eastern European countries and then we will just have to see ...

I worked out last night that the drop in Euro rate between Sept and now will have had the effect of costing us the equivalent of 1 adult and 1 youth lift pass in Austria.
