Hi
Got back from Bansko on Sunday and have booked to go again on 15th March yipeeeee !
My only concern is the agony that my poor shins have gone through, and in fact, are still going through !
They still feel really tender and bruised and this is nearly a week after my holiday has finished.
Is this normal ?
I know everyone complains about ski boots, but how do you know if the level of agony you are in is the norm lol!
I really can't afford to buy boots this year as just booked ...

I really can't afford to buy boots this year as just booked another sneaky week for march, but feel a real sense of dread when I think about the hire boots !
I couldn't even walk in the things without completly loosening the ratchets and having them open.
I would really appreciate any tips or advice .
Thanks

Ask them to change them until you can find a pair that are comfy enough to last you the week. I had the same problem the 1st time i went skiing everytime we stopped i had to undo them. I put up with this for 2 days then asked them to change them . I tried 3 different ones on then found some that were like slippers .
I totally agree with Marky. It's the most important part of your equiptment and you should not just put up with the first pair you are offered if they are not right.
Boots are never the most comfortable footwear you'll ever wear, but they should not cause you discomfort.
Try them on - walk around and do not leave the hire shop until you are completely satisfied with the ones you have.
It's worth saving up and buying a pair perhaps in summer when they are on offer. Then a month before ...

It is by far the best thing I ever did and boots have never in the last 12 years been an issue for me.
Any tips you could pass on about this resort? We are hoping to go in March also but unsure where exactly to book..we have only been once before and we have a 10yr old who took to it like water (all kids seem to do that tho..!)..be good to hear from someone who has just been..
I would echo Pete's comments. I bought boots in the autumn clearances, and having been clumping round the house since. We go two weeks tomorrow, and I'm confident *my* boots will be fine
youve just got to keep trying them till you get a pair thats comfortable...why would you pay to wear a pair of boots that hurt you for best part of a week...madness!!
comfortable hire ski boots do exsist..you just have to find them.
