It is normal for ski boots to hurt your shins,
If you ask for different sizes then they should fit. Before you go skiing you should exercise your shins and calves then they will be more used to the boots .

if you go to snow and rock or ellis brigham you can buy special gel packs to place between boots and shins, this will help immensley and is your cheapest option, hope that helps
