Remember when Teachers, Civil Servants, Policemen, Ambulance staff, Nurses, Midwives, Doctors and Fireman crashed the stock market, wiped out banks, took billions in bonuses and paid no tax? No, me neither.

Have to say I'm with Nudger on this one. I think it's an awesome place - and think it look good too! Bit too much concrete on show, granted but I can forgive it that for the quality of the skiing. Would much, much prefer to be staying there than Morzine or Les Gets! I'm probably slightly biased because the first time I went was the week before Christmas after about 50cm of snow. Magic.

Thanks for your support Mattsville.
You reminded me of something...
The first time I went up to Avoriaz it was with my family at Christmas.
My kids were 11, 9 and 5 years old.
Magic.

It could be a massive Turkey this year Pete, unless the snow arrives in time.

We love Avoriaz and the pds ,we all learned to ski ,5 of us there and it has some fond memories, some say its ugly ,but they need to take a closer look, the wooden tiles covering the high rise are lots of different shades of colours ,makes it a bit more natural, as well as great skiing and eating, car free so great for young ones .
stayed in morgins once on the swiss side, beautiful village, and also in chatel.

Thanks for your comments Tarantula.
Agree about the timber cladding. It looks good. I can't remember seeing much bare concrete there.

Will you be wearing your Spyder ski jacket this year?
