Consider this - mass construction underway in all resorts to improve quality of skiing facitities. Mass construction underway to ensure the road infrastructure is brought bang up to date. Tourisum growing in Bulraria year in - year out.
Any blip in the market at present is (in my opinion) nothing more than just that.

I'd like to see a bit more investment on the skiing facilities side - there has been almost no new investment in Bansko in 3 years since Ulen put in the new lifts and a capacity upgrade is important.
As an investment, I don't think ski apartments make much money anywhere do they? Renting just offsets the cost of owning a bit. I don't see any companies buying and renting out apartments.

I agree with you Mat. more runs and some way of relieving the gondola bottleneck in the mornings. But if the costs are met in the winter the summer would beso much more fun.

if you check back at mikeys messages, all he seems to go on about is property prices in bulgaria and how anyone who has bought there will regret it.
I ask you mikey... what is your story? Why do you keep mentioning this. We all agree that the market has been saturated but give it time, property will be increasing again. I mean 10 years not just six months. Yes investors looking for a quick turn around have missed the boat as they have levelled off now and resale is a no no. Anyone in ...

I ask you mikey... what is your story? Why do you keep mentioning this. We all agree that the market has been saturated but give it time, property will be increasing again. I mean 10 years not just six months. Yes investors looking for a quick turn around have missed the boat as they have levelled off now and resale is a no no. Anyone in this for the long term will be fine. Anyone how doesnt owe huge amounts will be fine. I suggest Mikey that you chill with this subject as it is becoming boring. I feel that you are just trying to scare people. Why would you do this???????

The way Arron and myself look at it is, at worst we could make our money back when we sell, and in the meantime we have had some fab holidays in our apartment.
At best we could make a few quid and we've still had some fab holidays.

well, I think you're underestimating the downside risk in such a poor resale market, especially if you have to sell in a hurry. But fundamentally that's the right way to look at these places.

exactly, resale now will be virtually impossible.. as is spain etc. when there are that many to choose from it is hard. In a few years when the building work has slowed down, especially near the gond people will be able to sell. as long as they sort the pistes out etc i think they will have to if they want their economy to rise. i think people that keep there investments for at least 15 years will be fine. And like you say you have a great place to stay in the meantime.
