"Occasionally, it is necessary to make a significant change to a holiday. Examples of significant changes are those which involve changing your UK departure airport (except between Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted and vice versa) to one which is more inconvenient for you, changing your holiday resort, changing your confirmed accommodation to accommodation of a lower standard or a change to the time of your departure or return of more than twelve hours. In the event of such a significant change, we will give you the choice of:
(a) Accepting the changed arrangements as notified to you, or
(b) Purchasing another holiday from us (and paying or receiving a refund in respect of any price difference), or
(c) Cancelling your holiday and receiving a full refund of all money paid to us."
Now, it would depend of the nature of the change, is it significant enough to be described as significant.
I didn't see why giving me a refund was a problem as it is 'their' fault but like I said the travel agent are digging their heels in and making life difficult and keep pushing the blame onto everyone else
I have now put my mother on the case (she always puts up a good) so hopefully I will hear back from her soon with some good news
I have done 5 or 6 hours at snowdome and this trip was a birthday present as I have always wanted to do it 'for real'
But it was my sister who has arranged it for me and she has never boarded so would like lesons. I agreed to do some lessons with her (lets be honest lessons on your own arn't that fun) as it would also help my revise the basics.
So we booked for 24hrs worth of lesson over 6 days. this did seem a lot to me but went ahead as ...
Well it was all to do with the lesson set-up

So everything was good, bought insurance and equipment for sister and new stuff for myself. Went to go and get money and collect tickets yesterday when we were suddenly told that we could no longer have the amount of lesson we payed for and that we would only be getting 3 days (12hrs) of total beginners lesson. obviously i didn't want that and wouldn't be fair to leave sister on her own, so i asked for refund!!
This is quite difficult because it is not a major change to your travel plans, but to your ski packs.
The operator will not give a full refund because it sounds like more of a case of your agent giving you incorrect information.
If i were you I would tell the agent that you wanted them to pay for your 3days lessons (a refund for these) and also compensation so that you can pay for private lessons in resort for the 3 days that you are missing out on.
I know this is probably not what you ...

I know this is probably not what you wanted to hear but it seems more like a useless Agent than anything that the operator has done wrong.
What Agency is it booked with? I will be disgusted if it's my company.
Don't want to names drop really but it's not a small company.
This is what confused me because it was the agent who recommended this holiday/package because it suited our needs/wants and she booked it and knew full well what we were meant to be getting.
It's not just the fact that it has changed so much as it's the fact that we were not told about it till yesterday and no effort was made to get hold of us and let us know.
I understand your problem I work for a big multiple company too.
I don't know why you weren't advised of this, this could because of an operator not letting the agent know or the agent not letting you know, whichever it is not your fault and you should not be punished.
I don;'t see why they can't give you compensation for private lessons in resort to make up for your loss.
For all the hassle, why don't they just cough up the few quid and pay for the lessons. If you named them here (good idea!) then they get a lot of bad press for a few quid. Small minded I think...
Ok I cannot believe you are fussing over this! Are you on a wind up? Not the holiday you wanted??? God I thought from the way you where going on they where going to send you to Benidorm instead of Pamporovo!
You are consdidering canceling your holiday at the last moment because of a few hours of noarding lesson's? Hmm I smell a rat you want to cancel becuase of Lack of snow don't you?and this is the perfect exscuse. Who in their right mind on the day before they are due to go on holiday ...

You have no right to ask or expect a refund on this the best you could hope for is a reduction in the cost of lesson's, but even this is doubtful.
