URGENT INFO and HELP REQ'd -Child Passports

We have just been informed by Balken that our children cannot travel on our passport they have to have their own passports .We travel next saturday, we have been told that the Bulgarian immigration rules have changed.Any help ,information would be gratefully received

Your children MUST travel on their own passports!

contact your passport office and explain they might be able to rush yours through it does cost extra

above info correct just phoned and booked at passport office at cost of £70 ! Sad

lesley was that per child? did the travel agent not tell you at the time of booking? they should high light these things

Our kids were on our passport. We returned on 21st Jan - no probs - though passport controll checked very carefully both inward and outward bound!

If you look at earlier postings about kids on passports you'll see there seems to be some confusion about the change of rules. Our kids are also on our passports and passports were checked thoroughly (We returned on 8th Jan) but other than that no problem, which is just aswell as we didn't know anything about a change in the rules. Although we were told that next time we travelled we would have to have new passports, but as ours expire this year anyway we thought that was what they were ...

yes thats per child and have to go to passport office to obtain the passport . checked foreign office website children have to have their own from 31st jan 2006 . tour operater gave us no information about this . been to borovets for last 3 years . called friends who are going a week later on the 18th feb they having to do same .

If you check the Bulgarian Embassy website it makes headline news and says it is in from 1st Jan 06:

Travelling from Sheffield to Durham Passport office in the morning to try and resolve it.
