travelling with inghams but booked through freedom direct over the phone . just called friends who are going to bansko on the 18th feb and they knew nothing either until this am when their tickets arrived with a note saying ... important information children need own passports etc ....

I used to work at Manchester Airport and came across this problem on numerous occasions. If you have an appointment and go to the passport office, they will issue the passports to you that same day. I have sent someone to Liverpool in the am and they have made the flight that same afternoon. Get there early and you WILL go to the ball, have a great time, I'm flying from Manchester on 28th, staying in Boro, all the very best of luck, Tony L

sorry but haven't children had to have their own passports for the last 5 years at least??? Both mine have always had own since tiny they are 10 and 8 and I was always told to have their own??

yes but if youre child was already on the parents passport then they could still travel on that until they were 16

We are booked into Newport Passport Office tommorrow. Thanks to this website we only found out last night that children had to have their own passports. We have not been notified by our tour operator and we have our tickets. When we phone Consulate today they said if our kids turned up without their own passports they will be sent back home. I cried............ We are going next saturday
