Just came back from a weekend in Bansko. Unsurprisingly empty and no sign of any new pistes or the fabled second gondola which was a bit disappointing. Just about every store deserted, including all but one estate agents and surprisingly not a single builder in sight. An awful lot of stalled construction projects and a few more little bits of road, but not much. I was expecting a bit more life to be honest - I need a cheap apartment to rent next season dammit.
makes me laugh, a second airport, what !! your more important than Chamonix or Gstadd. Its Bulgaria, a small resort sat in the Balkans, no more than 15000 skiers at most, my god, when skiers still have to travel up to four hours to get to Val or Tignes, why do you think it will happen in BG ?????
Be realistic, the numbers just dont add up, a commercial airline is going to fly into the mountains for less than 250,000 passengers for a four month season.....
ok, i would love to see it, but ...

ok, i would love to see it, but please live in the real world. Bansko is glorious, a two hour transfer is not long by alpine standards....
