Currently in Bansko, & havent queued once for gondola or lift all week.
We stayed at the Kempimski last year, and yes it is nice.
The price for this year was €300 more than last, so we switched to The Lion, which was €500 cheaper.
The facilities at The Kempinski are 2nd to none, which made us feeling very guilty going for a pint after skiing.
This year the facilities arent as good, but it means we can Apres Ski guilt free!!!
can't really see how this works... How do you get infront of everybody else when its queuing out of the door?
I can see that dream of a holiday turning into more of a nightmare with those VIP passes when you decide to walk infront of the wrong group of Russian's.
Think i'll stick to queuing and not run the risk of losing fingers...
That would be 2 back handers as one chap checks at the bottom of the steps another just before you get into the gondola, the 3 days we used it we were up early and waiting for the gondola cabins to come out of their shed, nobody got aggressive with us as quite a few people use the separate lane, instructors/workers and others, I think it's generally accepted that you have a valid reason to be in the vip lane.
Thanks for the very useful information Niki, shame that snowlover feels the need to keep make sarcastic comments, but that's the price you pay for an open blog.
Looking forward to the great conditions up the mountain, and enjoying the Kempinski facilities.
Do other resorts in europe offer a vip system or is ulen digging themselves a bigger hole as I fear other hotels in Bansko will say The kempinski is getting Preferential treatment?
