dbut, you have a good point, that is exactly what a forum is for, opinions. What amazed me is that someone would go to Pamps without carrying out any research and then moan about it. When I first visited Bansko I was unable to carry out any research due to last minute deal, I knew Bulgaria was ex communist and so expected things to be different!!. Anita makes such scathing remarks that I have not seen before about this resort, It might stop some people making an informed decision, perhaps some examples of what she was ranting on about might have been usefull, for example locations, resteraunts etc.

dbut - you are right in saying everybody has a right to view their opinions on here - and so too do people have the right to challenge those opinions. Surely you do not expect people to ignore this when the question was asked 'Why Bulgaria?'

The main purpose of thia board is to gain information, share experiences and add a little banter to our lives.

To decide after 3 years (in which time many changes have been seen in Pamporovo) to come on here purely to slate the resort and mock it's visitors seems a very sad thing to do.

Actually I disagree that it is ok to give only negative comments. As far as I can tell this site is NOT a review site of skiing in Bulgaria but a place to gain info before setting off for people who have already booked!
There are plenty of sites to leave comments like Anita's - tripadvisor.co.uk is one excellent example.
To make such negative (sweeping) comments on a site which is in place to promote Bulgaria and her ski resorts is in very poor taste. By all means state your gripes on holiday review sites (like tripadvisor) - this is an excellent source of opinions (good and bad) - one site that I always go to before booking anywhere (I'm also a destination expert on there for Epirus).

Sorry Jayne, have to disagree with you, this is a discussion site, anyone can say what they think, within certain limits. It is a pity that Anita seems to be somewhat anti, however the good thing is that it has promted so many people to post their positive experiences, in effect their are now a large number of positive comments. You will see from my previous post that I am a Fan and will be returning for my 5th visit in Jan.
One thing to bear in mind, there are far more people who will post negative feedback than will post positive, this has been shown by many surveys.
The are many scources of info on resorts WTSS is a particularly good one and also has a good forum.
