What's the best thing to do for collecting hired equipment in Boro?

Hi all,

Going to boro on 28th jan, CAN'T WAIT!!!!

We're a group of 4 three of us have skied before and one complete begginer.

We've all booked ski packs and ski school.

We arrive in the resort around 6pm flying out from bristol.

My questions are as follows :

1) - When do we get given our equipment?

2) - Can you choose from a wide selection or do you just get what you're given?

3) - Do you store the equipment each day or do you take it all with you to your hotel each ...

4) - What is ski school like? and how long are the lessons each day?

5) - Has anyone done any night skiing?

6) - Are there any tricks or tips for spending less time queing for lifts and more time skiing (just that we were in Meribel last year and spent ages waiting in line for lifts)?

We can't wait to get out there now, is anyone else going from Bristol or staying in the hotel Edelweiss?

Cheers

MJ

Answer to your main question is just listen to your rep on arrival, they will tell you all you need to know.

You will be given skis based on your size and you will not be given a choice, however you can change them after your first day if they do not appear suitable. Can you imagine the mayhem in the depot if 1,000 people were all trying on 3 or 4 set all at the same time and deciding which ones to have Confused

Ski storage is supplied at the same place you pick them up from.

Ski school usually start at 10am - 12.30pm
Break for lunch then 1.30pm - 3.30pm
(All times approx.) Wink

I let you work out the other questions yourself Wink

Hi going the same time as you also party of four from Bristol, See your rep in the hotel when you arrive be very early on Sunday morning as the ski hire place gets very busy. you'll have to pay extra for a night pass but it's worth doing you'll enjoy Boro!!!!

Even if you book on-line you still book with a tour operator Confused

If you book on-line with Crystal, you get a Crystal rep.
If you book on-line with Balkan, you get a Balkan rep.

Quite easy when you think about it!

Aw don't be a meany Razz

I'm only used to booking with travel agents from the high street like going places etc.

So if you book with bulgariaski.com then they have a rep meet you at the airport??? But if you book your flights separate and not with bulgaria ski and wtih charter flights (as per their link on here) then how do they know what flight you are on.
And if you do get met by a rep form bulgariaski does that mean if you have booked a transfer with them too its on a coach ...

If you book independently, then it's up to you how you get your transfer to the resort/gear/passes etc. as you would not have paid for them.

You know what flight you're on because YOU booked it!!

If, however you book with a tour company (which Bulgariaski are) they will attend to all your needs, and supply to you all you have paid for. A BS rep will meet you at the airport and welcome you to Bulgaria.

Transfer will depend on the number of people on your flight who have booked with ...

Transfer will depend on the number of people on your flight who have booked with them. If there are only a few then you will probably be taken to the resort by taxi at their expense. If there are lots then you will go by bus.

Hi Pete - aw you're lovely really aren't you.

I must seem really thick (please don't agree with me)!!

Silly billy, of course I would know which flight I'm on, I meant how would bulgariaski know which flight I was on if I had booked the flight separate.

I'm very new to this site and forum and sking. Have you booked with bulgaria ski before or am I now really thick and you live in bulgaria or something.

You do seem to post alot on this site.

sorry I am finding my way aroundl Crying
