What Is Happening To Pamporovo

First we get the news that the Snowshack is no longer open.
Then the Orpheus Hotel.
Now the White Hart.

There must be some very serious problems in the resort this year - and what the future holds goodness only knows Sad

Cool

re: What Is Happening To Pamporovo

There have been rumblings about WH for a couple of years now that I was aware of. I don't think its specific to this year but a general squeeze on small businesses all round. Orpheus is altogether different.

They need numbers there to make oit profitable Pete... if they do not have them it gonna happen!! Hopefully the good snow early season this year will lift spirits!! And hopefully it has brought more tourists as it has here in Bansko. Uk tourists down everywhere in Bg but others are up.

I have been told by a local that a couple living in Chepelare own the land that the WH is built on (illegally) and their claim has progressed in the courts.

re: What Is Happening To Pamporovo

It's only recently that regular flights have been coming into Pamps with Ryanair. In the past a few of the travel companies used Plovdiv during the ski season but most of them use Sofia.

More likely it is the knock on effect of past snow history in the resorts in past years (and not just in BG) causing businesses to go down except of course in the case of the White Heart. There were exceptional circumstances there.

But things are looking up with the fantastic snow dumps in ...

But things are looking up with the fantastic snow dumps in Pamporovo and more to come. It looks to as though it is going to be one of the best seasons in a long time. Banana skiing Cheers

The perlik doing all inclusive will not be helping the resort as no one will leave the hotel until 22.00

re: What Is Happening To Pamporovo

Bent deals and crooks are being finally figured out!!!

I know a number of ligit companies and friends running small businesses that are happy that the White Hart has finally been caught up with!

Over priced, rude staff and crap food for the last three or four years have pushed real customers out and i for one will not really miss it! Bette to go to the real local places and do what the locals do rather than drink in a bar that looks like the one down my road!!
