Im a newbie snow boarder, got boots and a board but no bindings as of yet, liking the look of k2 and flow, as they look simple and with out the hassle of sititng down getting wet etc, any reccomendations on the 2????? Which is better and what models???????????
mate K2 cinks (excuse my spelling). ride of the chair and ride off whilst doing the other one up. check them out. more sturdy and secure than flows and no sitting down all the time like conventionals. still have the first edition originals - completely battered but still feeling the love.
need to see if snowshack have the latest version cheaper than the UK.
flight to sofia in just over 6 hours - come on baby!!!
I use K2 cinch cts bindings. These are the quick release type. They are great if you are putting them on and off all the time, i.e. snowdome nursery slopes. On normal piste not much benefit.
Don't bother with flow they're not great don't hold you to the board as well as conventional, the K2 are pretty good I would recommend a s set of burtons something like burton customs. I have a pair of Burton Lexa they are an excellent pair of bindings let me ride anywhere and do freestyle. You shouldn't really need to sit down to do your bindings up even if they are conventional type. If you check out some of the websites and get some reviews also if there is a snowdome near you ask ...

You shouldn't really need to sit down to do your bindings up even if they are conventional type. If you check out some of the websites and get some reviews also if there is a snowdome near you ask if you can demo some of the bindings TSA demo boards and bindings and get a pair that suit you and your style of riding. Hope this helps.
Don'y bother with flow or stepins in bulgaria your better off with conventional type. Reason being that as there is so much difference in the snow condition is slushy at bottom and frozen at top, the slush refreezes on the bindings on the way back up the chair lift and is dead easy to clear off conventional bindings but a pain in the butt on flow and stepins. so take an extra 20 seconds and make sure you are secured to your board and have a great time. If you want bindings for the snow dome ...

If you want bindings for the snow dome don't bother, i just hire their boards its in all in with the price anyway and they are good enough for a 60m slope!!!
I agree with the 'don't bother' camp, quick entry are a pain in the but in deep snow, getting them off and on again, I bust a binding strap on brand new Rome Targa bindings, no problem for the local shop to fix after I limped off the mountain with zip ties holding it all together, what chance to repair Flows in BG
I agree getting spare parts would be hard given that Burton stopped producing step ins 2 seasons ago. Apparently they cost too much to develop so they are sticking to the conventional type.
