In my distant past instructing, the taking of a little alcohol was on occasions benefitial to some pupils who were a little nervous... we used to call it `knee greaser'

yeah when i was in austria my instructor gave me some stuff out of his hip flask i was shaking like a leaf.... i got down the run after drinking it tho!

haha both! was on a private lesson. i have no nerve lol

i'm a big wimp, so told me to drink half the flask then follow him.....

lets just say it kicked in quicky and was down the run before i knew it! best i've skied a run.. i didnt land on my ass!

lol sure did! was near the end of the lesson so no doubt we skied down rather quickly so he could re-fill!
