I have wheat!!! A company called Fengrain in Cambs has kindly offered to donate enough wheat for 60 wheat bags. I have the heating instructions from a shop manufactured one. 250g of wheat will go into 60 x 16*14cm cotton pounches, with a loose fleece or brushed cotton cover slip. Does this meet the requirements, and shall I get the kettle on ready for a mamoth sewing session? Should be able to take them (or most with me in March. Whoop Whoop. TD xx
This is just normal feed grade wheat. But I shall try in the microwave first now. I'm worried now! - I might end up with the fattest pidgeons in Corby!!
If it's feed grade it is the right stuff. My wife has made several hundred of these over the years for sale.
BUT YOU MUST TEST THE FABRIC IN THE MICROWAVE.
If not flame resistant the will be dangerous.
