I don't think theres any need to be so pedantic about it. I asked what people had previously experienced not what they predicted for next year.
Anyway lets drop it now shall we.
not an option to book late due to child at school & husband who works shifts so have to be very precise what week we go hence either going half term week or 9.3.07.
Pretty much decided that we're not willing to pay the extortionate prices of half term so will take son out to go in March.
Or alternatively . . . Go to a decent ski resort in the Alps, Italy is not noticeably more expensive that Bulgaria, and you don't get ripped off everywhere, the food is great, the people genuinely kind and there is always snow - just an idea to think about.
I have skied in Borovets in late march in 2 previous years and the snow has been great. I have also booked within 2 weeks of our selected dates and having removed my kids from school (with the schools agreement) I have not had any difficulty finding a 'cheap' holiday.
Having just returned from Val cenis in the Alps (great holiday) I will be returning to Bulgaria next year solely for the lessons for the kids and the great prices of the Skiing kit.
Go for 9th March - you'll be in smaller classes in ski school, it will be less crowded, snow will still be as good as it was a couple of weeks before hand.
I've skiied mid March in Borovets twice and preferred it much more than when I've skiied late January. I've already booked to go to Bansko on 23rd February next year.
A colleague of mine was there at half term this year - he said they gave up after three days because of poor conditions. We were in pamps same time - conditions excellent at top - we skiied all week. Nuff said ...
