Had a quick look on the web - Thomas Cook & Travelex don't do it.
Post Office is only offering 2.47 Lev to the Pound! (£404 for 1000 Lev)
www.xe.com quotes the official exchange rate as 2.86 Lev to the £ at the moment (only £350 for 1000 Lev)
Thats a big difference!!!

Hi,
Had a quick look on the web - Thomas Cook & Travelex don't do it.
Post Office is only offering 2.47 Lev to the Pound! (£404 for 1000 Lev)
www.xe.com quotes the official exchange rate as 2.86 Lev to the £ at the moment (only £350 for 1000 Lev)
Thats a big difference!!!
I know for a fact my Ulster Bank switch card does not work abroad (I've tried it in Spain, France and USA in the last year or so!) - they say it's something to do with not being part of the Cirus network or something. Don't want to rely on my Visa as it also let me down when entering Euro Disney this summer and the PIN was rejected although I was using the right one!
Intend to take as much cash as possible with me.
So question is - what's the best place to buy On Line or best local bank in Northern Ireland if there are any locals on the board.
I checked last week at M & S and they were quoting 2.74 to the pound, better than I got this year in the resort and we got our money from a local who gave us over the odds of the exchange booths in Pamps.
Rang my bank (Ulster Bank).
It's not one of their quoted currencies so they couldn't give me a rate and said I would have to give them two weeks notice if I wanted to order any.
I asked: "But how do I know how much I will get if you can't give me a quote?"
And was told "Look in the paper and tell us what the rate is and we'll probably be very close to it."
