Blimey you dont give much away do you!! 3 resorts Pamporovo,Borovets and Bansko. Each has its own charm and everyone on here has a favourite will tell you to go there!
Are you first timers? With kids? what sort of hotel or apartment are you looking at? etc...
Dont mean to be avasive. Yes we are first timers with 13 and 11 year old and none of us have skied. All the resorts sound good and I wish I was going today. However we know nothing, we are not looking for anything posh just a base so that we can enjoy the snow and the apres snow. Which is your favorite? And why?
Is one better for first timers? Is one better for familys?
Normally we would rather be self catering so that we enjoy the local bars and resteraunts, but is this the right way to ...

Ok Pamporovo is my Fave resort but I am going to Bansko in March! Why? I guess I just fell in love with the place!! It is the smallest of the 3 and would be a great choice for beginners.
Plenty of good hotels and apartments to choose from in all resorts. I always stay at the Mourgavets in Pamomorovo really nice hotel and good value. You will more than likely find that you can get a good deal going H/B at many of the Hotel then do what I do and eat out anyway!!!

When are you looking at going? For your first trip I would think Pamporovo or Borovets would be best suited tou your needs. Just see what takes your fancy and if you have any questions ask away!!
Hi - we have been to Pamporovo for first time skiing holiday - stayed in the Perelik and it was fabulous. Very helpful, lots to do in hotel, bowling alley, 2 restaurants, shops, pool, massage room - highly recommended, disco. Coffee shop on top of Murgavets hotel was great too.
We are a family of 6 with children aged from 23 to 10 and we all went for christmas week. We would definitely go back. We normally self cater but this is a tiring holiday and we were glad of breakfast and evening ...

I've just come back from Borovets - I cannot compare it to the other 2 resorts as I haven't been...but I loved Borovets!!!! It's small and friendly and has plenty for beginners....and plenty of apres ski action too. I took a 12 year old - who had a brilliant time too.
If you stay at the Rila Hotel in Borovets you can get a Studio apartment. As someone else said previously, go for half board (as it is so cheap) and have breakfast in the restaurant there....and then, ifyou don't fancy ...
