re: Where to stay

Paddy - I had no reason to use the Kindergarden so I cannot help really - but spoke to some people that used it and they said it was excellent.

The food at the Rila is ok - like all the hotels it's not great though....I would say, on a par with school dinners (but I liked school dinners so it was fine by me)...just get down early!

It's excellent for novices - we were novices (still are really!) and you are right in front of the novice area so not far for you to walk to the lesson !

re: Where to stay

Hello, I went to Borovets last year for our first family skiing trip (previous trips with the girls!) with one 11 year old and one 4 year old and a first timer hubby. The Rila Hotel is the best place for families with young kids as you dont have to trudge round the resort to the ski hire shops and slopes. Stay at the ...

Stay at the Rila and use the kindergarten, you'll have a fab time.
Were heading back there on the 27th, and we CAN'T WAIT!!

Try mama mias right outside the hotel they do a lovely steak, and are very friendly. We had a 13 year old and a 9 year old in a studio, enough room, rooms very very hot, fridge very noisy just unplugged it every night and it was fine, you do not spend that much time in your room so why people constantly complain i do not know.
You will have a great time, enjoy.
