Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Have skid both Boro and Bansko. Not a great skier and have an open mind about Bulgarian ski resorts as I have been skiing there in both excellent and crap conditions.I found Bansko had looked after the pistes better than they do in Boro but if you ski all over the mountain there are about the same variation of runs. Bansko is definitely better for boarders because you can use more chairlifts and less drags to access the runs. We are early risers and in eight years have never had to queue for the Gondola in either resort. As to the towns we found Bansko pleasant but as it is more spread out it means you need to be more adventerous to find the places you want. We made freinds in both places easily but I am of the older generation and therefore I dont think trouble finds us as it may the youngsters. While we go out every night and enjoy a few beers we dont go to the clubs etc although quite a few of the younger ones we meet up with do but have never had any trouble. This does not mean to say its not there.Will be going again next year not because I am a Bulgaria fanatic but have always enjoyed myself there and want to meet up with old freinds but am also going to Canada to see what it is like.What does make me laugh about this forum is that I accept people will not thnk the same as me i do not need to slag them or their ideas off and if everybody put their opinions on here wether good or bad without doing so it would be more informative for people using the site to judge the resorts
