Do Thompson have reps? went with them to Obergurgl in Jan, after 8 hour delay, no resort info pack and no sign of a rep or what activities might be available to us all week, quite shocking given the high price of the holiday in what is supposed to be the best hotel in the village. Been twice in past year with Balkan to Bansko and couldn't fault the company, reps or the holiday.

Easy Jet. And book my own accommodation. Much cheaper especially if a family is going.

We travelled this year with Thompsons and they are very well organised and the reps make sure everyday you have no problems, even phoning your room to check alls ok, been with Balkan before who were ok, but Thompsons are also cheaper for the time we can go.

Do it all myself - GAVE UP ON PACKAGE DEALS 10 YEARS AGO AND HAVE SAVED A FORTURE. Both Sun & winter breaks.

Like Clarkson says about Automatic cars I want to choose when I change gear not the car which is a metaphore for package vs DIY.

Welshy, I am glad DIY works for you but it certainly doesn't work when booking somewhere like the kempinski Grand Arena hotel in Bansko, I costed it out to be far more expensive going DIY, packages with people like Balkan strips a considerable amount of money off booking yourself. Enjoy your break this weekend. Very Happy

I booked from owners direct this year

http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/Bulgaria/BU98.htm

Stayed 75metres from Gondola across the river. Great location, Great complex, owners sorted out our transfers (140 euro return), recommended great instructors (banskosport - based in a marque below happy end) prices for equipment hire were ridiculously low.

Would recommend booking this to anyone. Going again next year for def!! (not in feb school holiday though next year!)
