re: Why Bulgaria?

If your a family or a couple/gang of friends all in need of ski/board hire, lift pass and a full week of lessons then you can't beat Bulgaria but if like us you got the gear then the only difference is the expensive cost of lift pass, we went last min to Italy in Jan £350 HB each, lift pass for Milky Way £150, and very cheap to eat drink on the hill, we found it actually cheaper than last March in Bansko. But it would ahve cost a firtune if we were a family having lessons and gear hire. Cool

Snik - Valid points. It also depends how much extra you spend on beer, saunas and additional food when the HB you have already paid for doesnt suit everyones pallet. They get bored of a plate of cold chips and ketchup.

Well we ate like kings in Italy, amazing breakfast and endless choice for dinner, drinks; 1 euro coke or water, 2 euro red wine the most expensive beer we found all week was 4 euro a pint but everywhere has happy hours till 10.30pm at about the time us ancients hit the sack, food on the mountain 6 euro big bowel of yummy pasta or 3.50 for a kids type dinner, we really were surprised, hotel room was a bit basic though. Booze
