Hi All,
Can anyone answer my question??
I've been to Boro 5 times over the last 3 years. Once in the summer and 4 times skiing.
My 1 st ski hol was in Boro with my best mate to celerbrate our 40th Birthday's..........one of my best hols ever (and i promise it had nothing to do with the fact that i'd left the husband and kids at home)!!
Raved about skiing so much hubby took it up too, and then last year we took the kids.
Until this year only skied in Boro. Family ski holiday to ...

Until this year only skied in Boro. Family ski holiday to La Thuille in Italy this year was excellent (till youngest broke her leg), gave me a real insite into skiing in Europe.
I def want to try other ski resorts, but i still love Boro!
I want to get a late hol in March with a friend and would love to go back but my husband cant understand why?
Why dont i try some where else in Europe, with more runs and better facilities?
I dont know why, what draws me back?? Other than its excellent value (if there's snow), the people, the fact i know my way around and always have a fantastic time.
Any more ideas??

Amanda, I know the feeling, we have skiied 6 times in Borovets but also tried La Plange a couple of times, La Tania last easter and Kitzbhuel at New Year 2009 but my heart still loves Borovets - could it be to do with the French/Austrians?!!!!! or the fact that it is such a small friendly resort that the locals make you feel at home whenever you return.Hope you get your wish to go back.

Think BG does that to you "draws you back" done Pamps 6 times and Boro last year would happily go back to either feel comfortable there. Canada this year but already know it will be BG nextre: Why do I love Borovets?

Janet- just back from Canada- fantastic skiing- but booking Bulgaria (Borovets) again next year- dont know why- probably because we know the place so well, love the smokey village atmosphere, its not comercialised (probably spelt wrong!lol)- know what your getting for a decent price compared with elsewhere, and the friendly locals and others there for a holiday- everyone speaks to each other unlike Canada where i found its a bit of a status thing! (good skiing though!)re: Why do I love Borovets?
Ian Have done canada before (Banff) going again love the slopes, but miss the restaurants on the slopes like Pamps but thought they were missing in Boro like Canada but night time choice better in Boro but the whole place, people and friendliness draws you backre: Why do I love Borovets?
Have to agree with the smokey village thing Ian! When you get off the bus and smell that smoke you know you've arrived!
