We went to Bulgair (Pamps) for the first time last year and was worried about the food because of the comments on the website, but they were all about hotels really. The food in our hotel was 'cool' from time to time, but after having a quiet word with staff in the restaurant this changed and the food was piping hot. We were even asked if the food was ok by the restaurant manager (this was after the quiet word!) and he was delighted that the small problem had been sorted.

As regards the quality of the food, we didn't feel the need to dine anywhere else as the food was so good and varied in the hotel.
I know it is hard to cater for everyones tastes, but my daughter is the fussiest eater in the world, and she ate really well. The people are sooo accommodating to visitors, we should stop moaning and just get out there and enjoy yourselves!!
Well done Alan, he's not got a bee in his bonnet just a little fed up with stupid comments - after all a good restaurants motto is 'if you enjoyed your meal, tell your friends, if you didn't enjoy your meal, tell us!

good point Boarder,
next time you go to Borovets perhaps you should do as my friends and i do and book your hotel and lift pass direct,we use this site, then book your flight with who ever you want to fly with , it actually works out cheaper and it means you pay the hotel their asking price and not to let the tour company dictate to them.

Four of us stayed in the Prespa 23rd Dec to 30th. Arrived late 23rd great meal, staff, hotel, food excellent. Excellent choice and service throughout stay, better than Finlandia. Best hotel food so far in five years at Pamps, sometimes twice in one year. Wanted to try the local mehanas but didn’t see the need, next time maybe.

Alan I agree with what you said about the Bulgarian food.
We stayed in the Zora (Pamps) over Xmas and we had no problems with the food, we didn't need to find anywhere else to eat.
I would tend to disagree with you on the part of the British food. The fast foods such as KFC, BurgerKing McD etc.. yes are crap (IMO), but where I live there are plenty of good resturants and pubs selling really good food.
