hi guys, I am going on 16th jan as well to pamps (meeting kirsty there Smile ).....went last year and if i remember on the first night we had 15 plus cm snow overnight which transformed resort overnight. Also went to borovets last year and would have to say to the people slating pamps that i love both resorts. re: Will we be able to ski?

I've been skiing the same week in Pamporovo for the last 18 years. Last year we had to pull the kids of the slopes because they were too dangerous and lost two days skiing. The year before the first two days were very poor before a massive dump made it a great week. In the mid 90s I remember ski instructors shovelling snow onto runs one year to keep them open and it was too hot to wear a ski jacket. A colleague told me that one year in the mid 80s there was no skiing all week as there was no snow on the slopes. In all the other years its been ok and on the two occassions I have skied in late March conditions were fantastic. Last year was really enjoyable particularly in Chepelare.
I just pray that this rain stops and the snow predicted for 8 or 9 days time comes!!! Crying

re: Will we be able to ski?

Have just sent messages to several contacts in Pamps and Chepelare. Hopefully they will get back to me tonight to let me know the condition of runs at the close of skiing earlier today.
