Independance Day to celebrate their split from Greece. Mega busy on the slopes on that day.

I'm sorry but thats not wuite true

Its to celebrate their independance from the Turkish/Ottoman Empire and rule, Bulgaria gained its independance in 1876.

This is a very important celebration fro the Bulgarians and I shall be partaking in the activities (i.e having a few beers)

It is also BabaMarta on the 1st March, and there is a four day holiday then.

so the slopes etc will more than likely be busy from the 1st March
