If he's 14 stone and size 11, that size board actually sounds perfect! If you bought from extreme sports world (ESW) you should have got good advice. Is the board a surprise present? and have you got him new bindings, boots, jacket, pants, socks, ipod otherwise he's gonna be mighty disapointed - not!

Actually, joking aside, what bindings does he have if he does have any? as burton boards have the screw holes in different locations to other brand boards. burton bindings fit ok, if he's got a different make of binding, he will need to get some adapter base plates (doesn't need new bindings) and the aren't expensive?
Cant bear the thought of him getting to bansko and his bindings don't fit his shiny new board.
He has his own burton boots, and he is going to get burton bindings out in bansko. the board is a surprise but he was getting new bindings this year anyway which is why i thought of getting the board. as for the ipod, jacket, pants......in his dreams, the board was bloody expensive but as he usually gets socks and jocks, i thought it was about time i made a bit of an effort
Are you sure about getting Burton bindings in Bansko, they were the same price or more expensive that UK last Jan, we were surprised at the prices in the only good board shop in town, way cheaper here.
I have a Burton T6 162 (I'm 5ft 11) and have riden most of the boards in the range. The Custom X is fantastic and a bigger guy with larger (10+) feet would need the wide board. It'll be a little slower from one edge to the another but will be super stable at speed. It's pretty stiff so not for the beginner but for the intermediate and above it rocks. Good choice River!
thanks everyone,
niki...i am off to do some more research. he likes the bindings with the toe cap, maybe i'll just order them now. i suppose bansko isn't really the best place to get them. was thinking about the c60???
Forest.....T6...The Silent Killer
I must say it seems unfare that there is at least twice the range in mens boards compared to women's.
