You can't go wrong with the C60 or the CO2 they are both fantastic. The C60 are a little less forgiving but really stiff with the carbon fibre back. CO2 a touch softer but still super responsive. If he likes cruising I'd go for the CO2's if he's always flying around the C60.
C 60 is great, I ride a Rome board and Rome 360 binding my husband was so impressed, he rides Burton Custom and changed to Rome Arsinal binding, with the toe cap, he is delighted. You get a lot of binding and great back up from Rome however you do need the free fixing plate to fit Burton boards, any good shop would give it, but any Burton binding fits fab.
I'm living in Dublin also and we (me & my girlfirend bought boards, boots(soft), bindings(flows), googles (OTG) and a boardbag, gloves...everything barring the powder ;-)
