In that case, your knees have no chance. Basically, you're screwed!

Have you thought about just rolling down the slopes? Very Happy

re: bad knees

Take 1 low-dose 75ml asprin every day. Really helps the circulation. (Check with your doctor first)

re: bad knees

try gloucosamine and cod liver oil I take them everyday have really helped my knees, I also run though and building the strenghth in the upper and lower legs helps to take the pressure off the knees, basically get off your backside and put in a bit of effort other wise you will only be sat at the bar in Feb you will never manage a full day skiing let alone a week Booze

re: bad knees

I'm sure there are loads of exercises that you can do whilst sitting down, but look on the bright side your right arm should be nice and strong for getting you up when you fall over on the slopes.

re: bad knees

I too have bad knees, I had 4 weeks of physio and spent the 6 months prior to going skiing last year, exercising and building strength in my legs, sorry cycling is the best low inpact thing for this. If your knees are that bad it will be well worth building strength in your legs as they do take a bit of a bashing on the slopes.....go see your doc!!!

re: bad knees

If you look on the web or go to your local sport shop you can get some very good knee supports just designed for skiing. Get some with side supports that wrap around and tape as these are easy to get off at the end of the day without having to strip. I have dodgy knees and have used these supports for skiing for the last six years. Without them by the third day I would not be able to ski.
