booked to go back to boro on 22nd jan in rila with thompsons,they double booked us so we canceled got our money back an booked with balkan in samakov .in a previous thread about balkan hols a lot of peeps said they dint like the planes ......wassup wiv em?
as you have prob guessed im not a great flyer.

Scary thing is that it has props!
Russians used to use them until they they got too old so sold them to Balkan Hols

Nah, you will be fine. Just be sure to strap on the parachute issued to you at check-in.re: balkan planes

cant be that bad last year had1 aborted landin at boro , re route to bourgas
2 aborted landin at bourgas, over shot the runway
3 land at bourgas an wait for half an hour
4 take off from bourgas
5 landed in 4 " of snow at boro
after the captain had said " hey we may as well give it a go" nothin a half bottle of gin cant cure, im sure.

Mke sure you take plenty of elastic bands, also when in your airport go up on the viewing balcony you won't see your plane coming just a fast moving black smoky thing touching down. It all adds up to a great holiday. Am going out on the 21st jan staying at the rila, have stayed at the smokov before oops you sure know how to pick em. Call in at the white majic opposite the smokov ask christo to point out Rich & Dick the first round is on me. Good skiing. ( Nobody else get any ideas I only ...

I flew balkan with my brother a few years ago, he is a terrible flyer hates it. the first sight of our plane and there was a fire truck next to it, once we were on the plane the windows looked like they were about to fall out and if the plane had fought in the 2nd world war it would have come as no big shock!!! we are still here to tell the tale but would never fligh with them again!!! good look,re: balkan planes
I forgot to add that one of the inside panels was falling off and was held back with sticky tape.re: balkan planes
HiI've always flown with balkan, yes the planes are aging ex-soviet jets. And stories of leaking windows etc are true. But I'm still alive. Just think of it as an adventure. Storys of aborted landing etc are because theres too much snow, which is good!
