Ok theyre not luxurious planes but all have to pass the same safety standards as every other airline. We flew with them last year outbound flight very hot but inbound was fine food is not brill but staff are nice, they are as safe as any other just look a bit tatty, enjoy the flight and dream of the snow

Bert, Please dont take any notice of anybody who tells you storys about tu154's or any other russian built plane or indeed any bulgarian opperated aircraft, as long as, and heres the important bit, they fly to the uk.
reason, any aircraft that flys into uk airspace must comply with CAA regs, which means it dont matter if its BA or Bulkan, there all as safe as each other.
The problem comes when you use a foreign carrier within Russia/Bulgaria or any other country as then, they they only ...

Actually Bert I have flown in these Tupolov's 154s a couple of times. Most date from the mid 90's so not that old, bit tatty around the edge's but hey they work!!! Best of all no fatal accidents recorded fo Bulgarian owned ones. Very Happy

Remember new years eve about five years ago, pissed singing karaoke with two bulgarian chaps who turned out to be our pilots the next day at 2pm Crying

Went on a TU154 'bout 4 years ago, it still had it's rear gun mount, but hey the drinks were free.
