daniel i only ate in one brit bar!!!and it was awful!!thats why i was trying to give a nice heads up to those who like their food!!! i love eating!! and i wish i had of had the heads up when i went out ther but i didnt and would of lost a stone if it hadnt been for victorias!!(which again is not british!!!)(and actually a shame i found it as every girl wants to come back skinnier!!)

wish i had of known about mehanans as it sounds just up my street!!shame no one had posted like this before i went out there!!!oh well if there is a next time i'll take other peoples advice and try there...no problem!

i didnt join on here till 2 days before i went away and that was just to see if anyone was going when we were!gutted i would of had more choice if i had of looked into peoples posts earlier!
but like i said iwas gutted i didnt know about the old town at all!!i should of researched bansko but none of us girls did!!

when did u go?would u go again?!!!
i went to kitzbuhl last year which was wicked and going to mayerhofen next year....not sure why as i always seem to have near death experiences whilst on the slopes!!

Not sure what is classified as a 'brit bar' and what the issue is in them being used?

Seems like a re - ocurring stream of negative responses purporting to be helpful throughout this site should you dare to air a slightly negative opinion. The judgemental brigade, hypocricy and sarcasm is almost palpable. The usual suspects entow. Can you not let someone air an opinion and accept it as their own without ripping it apart?

This is highlighted with regards to the advertising and encouragement to get people to the Bulgaria ski resorts - then those giving the advise to then advise you to travel a little further 'away' from said resorts for cheaper options? A little like 'oh pay to go to alton towers its fantastic - but please use the rides at Thorpe park instead'.

Heidi - stop defending yourself. Your opinion is your experience and nobody elses

OK - let me make a few comments.

First just to say - will be going back to Bansko for my 6th visit in a couple of weeks time - like the place and know what it's about.

Heidi - though I did reply fairly neutrally to your post earlier I will say that you did start you post off in a negative way "not the cheapest/best etc". You then rave about Victorias - fine - not seen it yet so cannot comment.

Valid points made by those more in the know perhaps i.e. Steve C for example lives in the resort, Dan has visited several times before.

It is generally known in Bansko (by those in the know) that the 'mehanas' in the town (a real old town not a commercialised area like some resorts) are really lovely - great value for money with some super food to be had.

I gave you benefit of the doubt as you said in your later posts that you wished you had had the 'heads up' / did not find old town until just before leaving. If you don't know then fair enough. I will check out Victorias which as you have pointed out fair enough is not UK chain anyway, as not been there before and like to see what places have on offer. I am glad you and your group had a good experience of there.

One comment that got me was when you said you wished you had seen posts about it - now this is not a direct comment at you but in fact is a general one at many..... If you REALLY want to know something (about anything) you can find it these days on the INTERNET!! Do research. Don't be lazy. I check out so much now before I go away anywhere and as a result have had much better holidays. Went to Africa at Christmas - went on Net - I found more about the resort and things to do than ever. I then found a website with a UK blokes details who gave me even more info than ever which helped me source great beach trips and so on as he had been there several times before.

This site has been running for years!!! There is a search facility. Folks - please use it!!! But if you don't want to search - which some don't as they like a quick easy answer - and don't get me wrong - I am more than happy to provide any info I think would be helpful then please do what others do i.e. ASK!!! There are so many folks on here that can give constructive, useful info!!

As for Dont Trust The Cam - well it strikes me you are just another troll who only likes to come on here and stir up trouble/be negative etc etc. Heidi please be aware, he is not on your side - just enjoying stirring things up!!!
