Hi we are a family of 4,2 kids 14 and 12. after all the negative reports i am starting not to look forward to our holiday. We are flying from newcastle on the 18th. Can anybody ressure us that things will be fine and also some suggestion for dining out, entertainment i.e music,quiz's kareoke, and the food usual stuff steaks and of cause chicken nuggets for the son

where you going . . .we been going to borovets for bout 12 years and we just love it . . .hubby and sons go to france each year in march but still admit borovets has the charm and atmosphere and we always have a great hol

also . . .we went to bansko in jan this year . . .still had great time . . .dont worry bout building work . . you cant see it when up the mountain skiing. . .the bars and restraunts are lovely . . am sure you will have a great time . . .ignore the negative comments and just concentrate on the positive.. . .you;l love it

jack sparows is great for food. . .got a good group of local singers (they are so funny, never laughed so much in my life ) friendly bar is also good . . .good band playing. . .food down in old town meheans is fab. . .good local food and very cheap

we normally go to Norway but all the ferries have gone off. first time to Bansko not really worried about the building work, more negatives about food and night life what with comments like KGB

I heard that Jean Claude Van Damme spent most of his young life in Bansko - this is where he learnt his life skills i gather??? Very Happy

what hotel you staying in. . .most of them are so new they are good. .sometimes hotel food is a bit odd but its just so cheap to eat out its not a problem . . .try a kavarna. . .local dish .. .chicken or pork . . like a stew with peppers mushrooms etc . . .yummy . . .also the chips are good

Try the Sir Galahad (near the Tanne) for kareoke and British style food. I certainly saw something similar to chicken nuggets, but frankly when there's pig stomach soup available, why bother?
