Thanks glynis, own skis so usually take them back, not in ski school but would rather sit and have a hot choc than get crushed in the que. Booze

re: bansko

Sam when are you going? we are there mid march and don't expect any trouble getting up the gondola early, think due to conditions it might be early on the slopes and finish earlier than usual. Confused

re: bansko

1st march lucky us its a bulgarian bank hol, have booked lift passes through tour oporator, just hope we can get them early and go, last time had over a two hour queue. If you look at the web cam archives on here march has had good snow in the past two years.

re: bansko

We went last year in late Jan and only needed lift pass, Balkan were very efficient at giving them out from 8am onwards, most companies must be the same?

re: bansko

Voucher, but nobody waiting at the pass kiosk, mostly people sorting skis/boards and lessons out, we were straight up at about 8.30 on first day.

re: bansko

We were out in January and only queued 1st day-after that we arrived at gondola station for 0815, collected skis when depot opened at 0830 and went straight up on gondola at about 0840.
We never had to wait at all- walked straight onto gondola and more often than not, it was only the 4 of us in our pod thingy !
Is it likely to be much busier when we come back out on March 15th ?

Also, with regard to Balkan Hols and lift passes, do they actually give you a voucher instead of the pass ...

We travelled with Neilson in January and the rep gave the passes out on the transfer coach which worked really well.
Don't fancy having to wait around to be given a voucher, then queue for actual pass and also queue for equipment as hubby and I are getting our equipment from Salomon rental centre and kids are getting theirs from Ulen.
Won't know where to go or what to do first lol ! Confused
