My suggestion would be to go the first week of February as it is just before half term and is much cheaper. We do that week every year for this exact reason and it has alwways worked out great. very few queues as well which is another reason.
I have always found that there is something for everyone when it comes to night time entertainment whether it be a nice quiet mehana (restaurant) right through to full on loud bar scene. Everything is within walking distance to most hotels so you shouldn't have a problem.
At the end of the day your ski holiday will be as good or as bad as what you make it. I like to think of the glass half full as opposed to half empty.

My only piece of advice if you don't enjoy long gondola queues is to be at the gondola station by 8:30am. Anything after that and you are likely to be waiting in a fairly long queue - not much fun with a child in tow. Either that or wait until after 10:30am when the queues have relented. Personally, I would rather get up earlier and get more skiing in rather than wasting half a day.
Jason try having some patience before you start yelling at people for not answering your post. It has only been 24 hours since you posted and weekends on here are quieter and due to the layout of this forum it is easy to miss a posting.
Had you waited a couple of days you would I assure you have got plenty of replies.
I can only hope the rest of the forum members show the good grace of Hornster and help you out. If the do I would also hope an appology would be forthcoming from yourself ...

Bansko has plenty to do on a night time, Hotel Bansko has a pool which is nice, a short walk up the road (5-10mins) in the direction of the lifts there is an Ice rink, near hotel lion if i'm not mistaken. Have a wander around town, many mehanas to chedck out.
Word of advice, don't use the main aupermarket just up from the hotel if you need to buy anything like chocolate/water etc... if you go out the front door and go right a little further down there is what looks like an alley (on the ...

You will have a fab time i'm sure and so will your wife and child there is more than enough to do for all ages

You are sending the poor man on a 'wild goose chase' by sending him up to Hotel Lion for the Ice Rink!!!!!!!
It's just down from the lights below the Gondella Lift walking towards The Lion BAR down Pirin Street.
Lovely shop in Angel Street beside Eagle's Nest Hotel.
Every thing you want at very cheap prices. espically for me as I'm a Milk Lover
Hi
I will also be at the Bansko Royal on the 3rd Jan - with 2 daughters - I am worried about the gondola more than anything else - 20mins seems a long time to be suspended in the air - and if I don't like it - how do i get back LOL. Hopefully we'll all have a great time - I don't suppose you can compare Bansko to France - they need a few years and much money to catch up.
Do not have one worries about The Gondella it is Perfect.
It's a pity I'm not computer savey and I could post a picture of the Gongolla Lift.
May be some one can???????????.
I had that fear too before I came to Bansko
Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy I did
