I went to Pamporovo on my own for a week the end of January, one of the best holidays ever. Went with Inghams £460 all in, thats flights, transfers, ski school, lift pass, ski hire and half board. Met some great people and would definately do it again, in fact already booked for next year. I would always go with a travel company as you have the services of the rep if god forbid anything happened.
I know is a different thing to travel alone as a male as a female person, but I had never problems in Bulgaria and I'm travel alout all through the country, by bus and train. The bulgarian are mostly friendly and helpful.
