if boarders are gay and skiers are pr*cks ... maybe i shouldnt be so hasty to quit playing rugby. i should just carry on sharing a bath with a load of naked muddy blokes with big thighs!!!
This year you will notice a rise in boarders sat on the side of the slopes. We should all wear skiing gear as a homage to this heated debate and so that our skiing friends may recognise us . We can all wave , it will be nice.
One of our group , a skier , wont wear a beanie , he says he feels silly. He wears ear protectors ( his idol is Freddy Mercury) . Who said the gays were on trays?

Learner boarders , if you went last year , don't worry it will be soft in comparison , but wear wrist protection. If your speed freaks you out , get to the edge of the piste , it is dangerous to sit in the middle of the piste . Most likely nothing will happen , apart from upsetting skiers , but not worth the risk. Good skiers do tend to take a straight line down a run,and with all good intentions , could not stop at that speed at a split second , especially on runs where characteristics are concealed.
Same goes for learner skiers I suppose , although more noticeable via the day glow frenzy.

This was just so that i can learn without the pressure of getting in the way of expert skiers/boarders.
I have learned at Milton Keynes, and I dont want to fall over. I will follow any "rules of the slope" ... which i dont know at the moment. But surely the rules are the same for skiers and boarders alike.

However, if by "sitting in the middle" they are taking in the view I can see the problem and that it silly. But if they are just trying to get back up, stop wingeing being a 'snow snob' and just go around, everyone has to learn.
I beleive that a new facility is going to be available this year in Bansko. Skiers can go to the station and get their ski poles sharpened to a nice sharp point.
Obviously I have no idea why anyone would want to do this
