re: blocking the piste

the only real issue I've ever had with snowboarders was last year in Bansko when a group of 5 or six young lads repeatedly stood "board to board" across the snow road whilst waiting for the chair up... after a fews chats over the morning I found the only way to deal with them was to shout "mind your backs" and deliberately bowl them over - miles more fun that the bowling alley in the hotel - cheaper too!

re: blocking the piste

I HATE SNOWBOARDS "I'm sorry but i do"

I can't see any good in snowboarding.

I do freestyle ski and i do more tricks, than i have ever seen snowborders do.
I think this argument between skiers and snowboards is down to novices snowboard boarding out of control with big igouse.

Of course, Snowboarders sit there to trip up all the head-so-far-up-their-own-****-therefore-can't-see-where they-are-going-Skiiers pelting down the middle of the blue slopes at the fastest speed they possibly can.

If you look carefully there will be another one off to the side with a video camera. Wink

Pretty much for the same reason I gather that skiiers tend to leave their poles and skis laying in the middle of the piste for a good ten minutes after they've stacked it while they are ...

Personally, if I I stack it the first thing I do is get the hell out of everyone's way as quick as I can!!

re: blocking the piste

Boarders sitting in the middle of the piste is stupid, good skiers carving at 100 kph through learners on blue slopes is also nuts. Put the two together, like in Borovets two years ago, and one of the two will die. That time it was the skier.

Bit of common sense and consideration for your fellow man and all will be well.

re: blocking the piste

This is just like Roadies verses mountan bikers, also a good banter. We mountain bikers call road riding the dark side, they wear silly bright coloured clothing....ooooh just like skiers lol. Wink

re: blocking the piste

boarders should have to take a test .. bit like a driving test.. maybe then they wont.. park in middle of road... or... take out a few cars down the high street.. or .. well sure you got a few to add ........... got 2 lads of my own after 6 years still training them Booze Booze Booze
