boot carriage

have just looked on tickets and although we have paid for ski carriage, we are only allowed to check in two pieces of luggage, which are 1 lot of skis and one hold luggage, says we will be charged for boots, anyone flown with thomsons recently and know what they do.

re: boot carriage

So do mine but I generally tend to find that if the bag fits in the size thingy they don't weigh it. If they do then I will be stuffed.

re: boot carriage

We've bought ski bags large enough to put boots inside with clothes so they don't know. Some airlines have stopped people taking boots on as hand luggage.

re: boot carriage

We flew with Thomsons, Bristol/Innsbruck in late Jan, big signs saying ski boots not allowed as hand luggage, lot of people having to repack bags, one chap ended up paying £140 for his 2 sets ski/boots 1 set blades/boots. We were told in advance snowboards in small bags, 6 kilo weight max. No longer allowed big coffin snowboard bags with all your gear in. Thomson were very strict this year. Confused
