It's just a way of raising revenue. Pack salopettes, jacket etc round boots to protect them plus socks inside them.

I meant I was gonna stick mine in the little case which littlun takes on as hand luggage should be ok shouldn't it they can't see I have boots.

Othe roptionis to stick them in with littluns snowboard gear as have booked carriage for that and they are pretty big bags and his board is tiny as he is only 7 will wrap ski jacket round for protection.
