My package holiday was inexpensive to Borovets but sadly that was the only thing inexpensive about my trip with my family. I realise Bulgaria has its fans and I went open minded and sadly due to a number of things, prices, service, quality etc it was very hard not to feel consistently ripped off. I will not return to Bulgaria. The prices here are more costly than Alpine resorts, and this is not due solely to the exchange rate.
Just got back from Boro, nice resort but was quite expensive to eat and drink. Hot wine was £4 a large glass. Nice atmosphere and good nightlife but generally found it much dearer than the alps. The package deal was cheap and the people very friendly but the piste management was terrible with very few runs groomed and those that were were done very poorly even after substantial snowfall. They simply don't seem to have have the equipment and there were several rocks on the main runs. You have ...

The holiday was OK and we had a good time but I will be going back to Italy next time.
