bugaria ski

whilst on my lunch break, I can see that some very rude people have been slating good old Bulgaria.

Well - Let me tell you nasty people something!!

I have been to over twenty ski resorts in my short 23 year life, and have been to some of the top resorts and paid top prices - however last week me and my partner decided to visit bugaria (pamporovo). Well - Let me tell you nasty people something!!

I have been to over twenty ski resorts in my short 23 year life, and have been to some of the top resorts and paid top prices - however last week me and my partner decided to visit bugaria (pamporovo). We stayed for a week and I have to say, overall it was fantastic!! The skiing wasnt great but there IS NOWHERE IN EUROPE that is at the moment (It would have been good with more snow) . My hotel, PRESPA, had the best hotel food I have had, with lovley Bulgarian dishes and not your usual drab western chips and plastic chicken. The ski instructors where the kindest and patient I have come across and wiped the floor with the likes of Austrians and French. (at least they can speak perfect English)

We have come back with nice tans and a good few pounds lighter, we have been treated with the utmost respect and have done several things such as riding, skidoo - ing and husky sleding - the whole experience was great. We also got hammered every night in some great bars.

It was great value for money and would defo go back and to be honest - I paid 410 for my holiday inc ski pakage and last year spent 1300 for a week in Zermat and there is no Contest - BUGARIA RULES.

All you horrid people who want to slag it off - go to anti bugaria web sites - there will be many people on this forum - waiting to go to Bugaria for the first time and you will be upsetting them - SO STOP.

The best time to go to bugaria is around the end of FEB start of March.

Its a beautiful place and not at all slummy xx

Have been to BG for past 3 years - never a problem with conditions at end of Jan. Its a freak year, look at all the other resorts - everyone is upset, but there is nothing you can do about the weather. At least there is plenty of decent aprés in BG!!

re: bugaria ski

you don't want people to have another point of view then? Bulgaria has strengths and weaknesses like most places and appeals to different people. If you want organisation and quality, you'll probably be happier in more established resorts. If you don't mind a little rough around the edges but cheap and cheerful, you'll have a great time. If it ever snows of course.

Well said DIVA. In my opinion most people who moan havent got a clue how to enjoy themselves. Your a fine example of someone who has enjoyed themselves even with all the negative things that were out of your control.

If all fails you've always got plenty of this Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze Booze

Having postives and negatives is perfectly acceptable ofcourse - but comments like SLUMMING IT - arent very constructive ? I loved bulgaria but would say it wasnt good for snow boarders of off piste skiiers but great for familys and novices - Happy now ? This is a forum to discuss bulgaria with people who have been, or want to go or are going so things need to be said yes but all the comments need to be accurate and earlier- someone said bugaria was like slumming and that is not true so I am ...

And it can be a slum if I liked it as I am a right snob!! HA HA
