buying equipment

As the title suggests, what's it like for buying snowboard equipment ie boots, is the range good and is the pricing better?
Coming Mid Jan and looking forward to going somewhere a bit different.

re: buying equipment

exchange rates are making the UK one of the cheapest places to buy in Europe. Even more so if you pick up previous season stock.
Worth looking in the UK also

re: buying equipment

have a look in the shops and try boots on, then go on line and see if you can get the same thing cheaper.

re: buying equipment

Cheers for the replies but nobody has been able to tell me if it's cheaper to buy kit in Bansko or not.
Unfortunately there are no shops that don't require either getting on a plane or a boat to reach to try out Sad

re: buying equipment

We bought ski boots out there a few seasons ago and were a lot cheaper but it was the end of the season and at the time the exchange rate was very good!!! Last time we were there we looked at skis and the prices were about the same if not cheaper in the UK.

re: buying equipment

Alastair, not wise buying boots on line. get to a boot fitter. Everything else is fine to buy online but ill fitting boots can ruin a holiday.
