change of scenery

Know i can always depend on this forum for good honest advise
Fancy a change from Bulgaria next year would like to go to France, Italy or Austria.
Can only go from Dec 16th - Jan 7th or University Easter period which i think is around 7th April to end of April.
Son is at uni therefore would like to know any resorts that can virtually guarantee snow on these dates.
Sure you guys have the answer for me,would really appreciate some guidance on this one
thanks

re: change of scenery

Beer etc (and food) not too dear, (particurlarly with current exchange rates) although some funny licencing laws. Doesnt have same village atmosphere as european resort but when i went didnt get stitched with high prices.

Gawick to boston flight only about 5 hrs + about 4 hr trf time. Lift price very high, but LOADS of range covered. (If very advanced / expert skier, u may cover about 50% of range. When I went 11 years ago the lift pass covered 6 mountain regions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Hope this may be of some help.
