BTW Callum, Plovdiv is no longer a shed on the runway. The new "all singing, all dancing" terminal has been open for some time now.

It's a really good terminal to fly into and out of as check in is really fast and on arrival the bags are there almost at the same time as you enter the claim baggage hall as Ryanair have a very quick turn round. Happy dance

Pete, bit of a sweeping statement to say that nearly all branded (non-bg) fags are fakes... There is a small problem now with dodgy Chinese imports, but generally if the packet displays an Euro customs bond sticker there will be no problem. The price of the cigarettes are displayed on this sticker and cannot be sold for more than displayed. The limit now set by the UK customs is 800, unlike the rest of Europe where it is approximately 3000, welcome to the UK's version of Eurozone...

On the point of counterfeits, the selling of these cigarettes has been jumped on very hard, fines and imprisonment are commonplace, especially as when the phoney fags were examined, they contained all number of things apart from tabacco.. also consider that a number of brands are produced here in Bulgaria (Marlboro, Camel etc) legally under licence. Tax has risen again this month on cigarettes adding approx 10st to a pack of 20... getting expensive now.. £2.00 Wink
And as a footnote, the parliament is being pressured to allow bars to have smoking after 10.00pm if required, as the law was introduced as a way of protecting our children from smoke, the feeling is that it will be adopted... it has started already here in Bansko in some bars Very Happy
