1. Bulgaria
2. Any hotel reception. Rate is approx 2.55 in resort.
3. Get it from your travel agent - much cheaper.
4. Not sure why you want to go on any tours when your supposed to be skiing! Maybe ski Chepalare for a day or visit Plovdiv but why would you want to?
dont mean to tread on ya feet PETE, i was just sayng what we had and atleast we know that the money we exchanged was all of it as you can get scammed whilst you are out there and some places charges commision.
We were there 2 weeks ago and rate was 2.45 at most places, but 2.50 in Perelik. We changed £100 at M&S before we went, just to get us going, then changed the rest as we needed it in resort.
You'd be better off booking your ski pass through your tour company - it's a lot cheaper. A one day pass in resort is 49 lev (about £20).
We went to the Bulgarian Folk Evening last year - which was good, but when youve done it once ... The pub quiz was a laugh (Thomson/Crystal). We also went on ...

We went to the Bulgarian Folk Evening last year - which was good, but when youve done it once ... The pub quiz was a laugh (Thomson/Crystal). We also went on the skidoos, but we booked that via our ski instructor, and it was a lot cheaper than booking with the tour rep. Also, we've done the skidoos with the tour company before, and the guys we went with this year were much better - newer machines too.
On the last day, we had the option of going to Plovdiv shopping, but we decided to hire some equipment, buy one day lift passes and have an extra day on the slopes, which was brilliant.
